County Fair

I hadn't been to the Fair since I was... 11? A very long time. I went with some family + friends and it was so much fun!
Fun! Get it?
We got lemonade from a lemon shaped building
Amanda purchasing the lemonade from the nice lady in the lemon building

We saw goats sitting on top of chickens
A rabbit hissed at me
The Bunny mid hiss

I rode a Ferris Wheel for the the first time!
I instagramed this from the top! It's blurry because the thing never stopped! Just kept going around and around and around...

I love all the lights on the rides. I said that night, "Life should look like this all the time."  It's so very pretty.
Amanda and I. Being cute.
I'm contemplating my $5 Cotton Candy

I'm not even close to finished with all the pictures I snapped that night, but if I waited too long, I'd probably forget to even do a post about it!
I've been having a very nice last week of teendom. This birthday is wigging me out more than turning 10 did! I usually say age is just a number, but it's very different when the number is yours!
Well, I've got some pins to make and an Etsy store to update.
Ciao!

How cute are the baby chicks?

Happy October!!

I can't believe it's already here! Where has the year gone? It seems like it's going to be Summer already and then, poof! There goes September and then you've got 3 holidays back to back! I'm really excited about it. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas... They'll be here before we know it! I'm also terribly excited because in 19 days I will no longer be 19. I've been preparing myself all year by saying, "I'm almost 20." Instead of, "I'm 19." I might've sounded a bit immature to some people when I said that in January... But I tend to have a hard time remembering my age anyways (Sometime I'll tell you about the PG-13 debacle at Blockbuster) and this is going to be such a transition... I'm having a... Quarter life crisis? Is that right?
Well, I've got some stuff I need to do (I need to do all the teenage-ry things I can in the next 19 days!) so I'll leave you with some pretty Fall-ish pictures from Weheartit.

Have a good night!

End of June Recap

I've been away for quite some time! Or it feels that way. I was sick for almost 2 weeks and didn't do much and then last Friday my Sister was in a car accident. She's ok, although it looks like The Incredible Hulk punched the trunk of her car. We spent the weekend with her to chauffeur her around and help straighten out all of the details with insurance and everything. You know, all the fun stuff. Hmmm... When I said "we helped", I meant my Mom. I was more in charge of bringing things up and down the stairs, dyeing hair, and keeping morale up. Here are a few pictures I snapped while we were at her place..
This tea is really good.

I guess it sounds like the last half of June was pretty bad... It really wasn't as horrible as I'm making it sound. A lot of good things happened, too.
1. I taught myself how to cableknit
2. I watched seasons 2-5 of  Supernatural
3. I made 2 1/2 scarves
4. I rewatched Season 2 Veronica Mars (that show was soo good!)
5. I got to spend the weekend with my Sister!

See! Not all bad! Let's all hope July is a little bit calmer though... If I don't make it back on here before the 4th, I hope everyone celebrating has a safe + fun Holiday weekend!

Grand Opening!

The Grand Opening was yesterday. Here are some pictures:

I just got this hat on Monday and I am crazy about it.

I've decided I need a giant pair of scissors for myself.

These are my new shoes!  I wore them yesterday
It always seems that I forget to take pictures or I never take enough pictures at things like these. Oh well!
I'm going to go take a nap (I'm really not, I just wish I was.)

Prom!

Hey Guys, I went to Prom! The movie that is...

I didn't know how silly the hair tie looked until I got home. Oh well, you live and learn.
We celebrated my friends birthdays by getting all dolled up and seeing the movie "Prom" in theatres. It was an adorabley cheesy movie and we had the theatre to ourselves, which is always the best way to have a theatre.
Unfortunately, most of the pictures were taken on their cameras so I don't have a lot of photos.

Also, the lead girl in the movie, Nova, she had the same purse as me!

It's always fun to see your stuff in movies!

An Emotional Rant... Or As Emotional As I Get...

I wish I wasn't so weak.  I wish that when confronted, I didn't break out into tears.  I don't always cry though... My responses aren't consistent, so I can't rely on whether I'm going to cry or stand my ground.  Most of all, I wish that I wasn't in situations that ended in fights.  What is the point of fighting anyways?  Especially when the situation has basically been resolved?  If everyone is already moving in different directions, who benefits from rehashing things that did (or did not) happen?  I also wish people didn't assume that they know everything about you, when they don't.  No one can possibly know everything about another person unless they are family or actually friends, and even that isn't a rule.
It's days like these that I wish I was a Hermit... Or that I consider becoming a Hermit.  I think I could actually be a pretty good Cat lady... Without the Cats..  I'd have Fish.. Or Parrots.  Or maybe a garden... I'd be a good crazy old lady yelling at youngster's to get off of her begonias.

Ok, I'm sorry for the rant.  I have a lot of crazy things going on in my life right now (some good, some bad) and I like to type my thoughts.  It's my second best form of stress relief.  The first is shopping.  Obviously, I don't have any money to be shopping with so you, dear readers, get to be subjected to emotional blog posts.  Yay for you!
Seriously, thank you for reading this.  It really means a lot to me.  I'm really not an emotional person (I know you probably don't believe me, but it's true.) It means a lot to me to know that someone knows what I'm going through... Even if I don't know them.

I'll bid you adieu with a picture of a really cool skirt.

Some Thoughts I'm Having

I wish I was better at expressing my thoughts.  That might be an odd thing to blog about, since that is exactly what blogs are, outlets for thought expression, but I’m really not great at expressing opinions and thoughts quickly.
Really swiftness isn’t the problem…  I rarely can explain the reasons for my answers promptly.  You can ask me, “What’s your favorite movie?” and I’ll answer “Scared Stiff.”  Then comes the part I hate.  “Why?”  I know why I love the movie, I just can’t really explain it to you.
Just now, I have deleted and re-written so much of this post, because I can’t figure out exactly why I’m writing it.  Although I know why.  I just don’t know how to say it.

Ok… I’ll just go back to posting pictures of shiny + sparkly things.
