End of June Recap

I've been away for quite some time! Or it feels that way. I was sick for almost 2 weeks and didn't do much and then last Friday my Sister was in a car accident. She's ok, although it looks like The Incredible Hulk punched the trunk of her car. We spent the weekend with her to chauffeur her around and help straighten out all of the details with insurance and everything. You know, all the fun stuff. Hmmm... When I said "we helped", I meant my Mom. I was more in charge of bringing things up and down the stairs, dyeing hair, and keeping morale up. Here are a few pictures I snapped while we were at her place..

This tea is really good.

I guess it sounds like the last half of June was pretty bad... It really wasn't as horrible as I'm making it sound. A lot of good things happened, too.
1. I taught myself how to cableknit
2. I watched seasons 2-5 of  Supernatural
3. I made 2 1/2 scarves
4. I rewatched Season 2 Veronica Mars (that show was soo good!)
5. I got to spend the weekend with my Sister!

See! Not all bad! Let's all hope July is a little bit calmer though... If I don't make it back on here before the 4th, I hope everyone celebrating has a safe + fun Holiday weekend!

Hello June, I think I like you!

Today has been a really great day. Really, really great.
1. I dyed my hair pink (just the tips. Like last time. I'll be back in a day or two with photos)

2. I watched a few episodes of Supernatural (Even though the show does kinda scare me...) My friend Felicia has been trying to get me to watch it for... Maybe a year now? They started airing the episodes on TNT from the pilot, so I no longer had an excuse to put it off. The show is actually pretty great. So instead of getting work done, I spend two hours a day watching a TV show! Thank God it doesn't come on during the weekend.

3. I got this vintage dolly nightgown in the mail

4. The best thing, I got a Pinterest!! It may be sorta silly that I am this excited about it, but I am! I've wanted one for awhile, but was too nervous to apply. Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and I got an email this morning saying that I was in! I spent a good part of the morning pinning things, it's so much fun. Do you have a pinterest? Lazy Sunday

Today is my first real day off in... 3 weeks? It might actually be 2.. I can't remember. Anyways, I have done nothing "productive" today. I've spent most of the afternoon perusing photos on tumblr & weheartit. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I've also been checking out listography. I love that site! Since lists are on my brain, I'm going to make one here!

1. This Blythe girl is on her way from Japan to come live with me. I'm so excited. She's the first Ginger Blythe I've gotten! I haven't picked out her name yet, which is odd. I usually have names picked out before I purchase them.

2. They showed "Tangled" last night in the park and I worked the concession stand. I had so much fun!

3. My Sister told me about Louise Rennison's mini book called "How To Make Any Twit Fall In Love With You". I read it this morning. Fabbity Fab!

4. I really want to get this dress for my Blythes. I actually wouldn't mind having one for myself. I love all of Pomme-Pomme's clothes.

5. The Alice In Wonderland paintings by Emily Martin are making me extremely happy. I pretty much love everything she paints, but these are particularly fantastic.

6. How cute is this picture?

Well, my lunch is almost ready, so I'm going to go read a book and eat some soup!

Things That Make Me Happy (Right Now)

1. The front page of Anthropologie's website.  It's a little stop motion film featuring their Christmas Ornaments.  For some reason it really makes me think of Toy Story... I think it's the music.

2. The Puppini Sisters Christmas CD

3. This Tape Dispenser from UO.  Isn't it adorable?

4. The Newest Martha Stewart Christmas issue.  It is full of sparkly, spangly things and is the first Christmas issue in a while that really makes me want to make everything in the book!
 Sadly, I can't find any images of the new Martha... I'll have to take a picture of mine.

Hmmm... Most of the things that are making me happy right now are Christmassy... And Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away! Oh well.
I need to go bake about 8 dozen Christmas Cookies for a party tonight!
